Of all the cases of STDs listed, the ones that concerns us the most are the Newborns: 185% increase of newborns with syphilis since 2017. Of the 2,677 children, how many were born in Brevard County, Florida? A search of Florida Department of Health records shows that 7 babies were born with syphilis in 2021. Looking at the chart, there is a definite up trend.
